Selleck was a prominent character in several TV movies in the new millennium. This included the Jesse Stone series in which he played the role of a New England police chief. He was also producer in charge of the films and also received an Emmy nomination for his part. Selleck also portrays a police commissioner who is part of a multigenerational family of police officers in the drama Blue Bloods which debuted on CBS in 2010.Selleck was eventually able be seen on the big screen. Alongside Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg he appeared in Three Men and a Baby the film that was a hugely well-received comedy. It became the highest-grossing film of all time.
