Sheryl-Underwood
Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, TV host and actress who is best known for hosting the daytime talk show The Talk. Sheryl was born in Little Rock and grew up in Little Rock. Sheryl is from a family that has had a lot of difficulties. She spent the majority of her growing up taking care of her older sister Frankie who suffered from polio. When she was a child, she had difficulties with her mother. Sheryl recalls that her mother was once brutally beaten by her father because he was too close. Sheryl went into military service following her graduation from college. But her passion was comedy. She was the first female finalist in the competition Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. The year 1992 saw her make her TV debut as a regular performer in the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. She hosted the television show Oh Drama! in 2000. In 2011, she began participating for The Talk as co-host. She has played in fictional show including Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
