Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. It is daughter to Dennis Alan Taylor, a former bank executive, as well as Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist who is half-Spanish, and half-English woman. The father of her was Argentine with Scottish and English ancestry. Her mother is Spanish-English. There are five siblings, four from her father's previous marriage. She lived with her family living in Buenos Aires from the time she was 6 years old until they moved to Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy believes that moving to London was traumatic as she wasn't able to master English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she moved from Northlands. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she was a ballet student and performed in school productions. When she was 16 she dropped out of school to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy was an actress as a kid that knew she was going to become one. The realization of her dreams came when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modelling job.
